Our Story
Frank JP Yard started in 2014 in Franklin, Tennessee, helping neighbors with yards that washed out every spring. Middle Tennessee's hills and clay soil make slopes hard to hold, and retaining walls quickly became the heart of our work.
Today we build segmental block walls, natural stone walls, boulder walls, patios, fire pits, seat walls and steps for homeowners, builders and HOAs across Williamson and Davidson counties.
We keep our crew small on purpose. The person who gives you the estimate is on site while your project is built.

Retaining Walls
We design and build walls that hold back soil, stop erosion and turn steep slopes into flat, usable yard. Every wall gets a compacted gravel base, drain pipe, clean stone backfill and geogrid where the height calls for it.
Hardscapes
Outdoor living spaces your family will use every day. Paver and flagstone patios, fire pits, seat walls, pillars, steps and walkways, all set on a proper base so they stay level for years.
Drainage & Grading
Most wall and yard failures start with water. We install French drains, downspout tie-ins and regrade slopes so rain moves away from your walls, patio and foundation.

Do I need a permit for a retaining wall in Franklin?
In the City of Franklin, walls over 4 feet (bottom of footing to top of wall) generally need a building permit and engineered plans. We help you with the permit process when it applies.
How long does a retaining wall last?
A block or stone wall built on a proper base with good drainage can last 50 years or more. Most failures come from missing drainage, which is why we never skip it.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on height, length, material, access and drainage needs. We give free on-site estimates with a written, fixed price.
How long does installation take?
Most residential walls and patios take 2 to 7 working days. You get a schedule with your estimate.
